What You Do

posted in: Poetry | 0

Sometime you don’t have a clue,
All you know is that no one can do what you can do.
Sometimes you may feel alone,
But that’s why you have to move.
You’ve got to find your way, make your place,
And do what you do.

You don’t have a choice.
This is your voice.
So don’t be afraid to speak your mind.
You never know what you may find.
After all, there’s a reason for each goodbye.

Sometime you don’t have a clue,
But as you go, you will know.
There is no such thing as losing you.
Not when you know what’s true.
If you feel like you can’t escape,
You’ll find yourself in a familiar place.
A place you can’t forget, a place you’ll soon regret.
So what do you do? Make your move.

If you can’t change the state of mind you’re in,
You’ve got to fight what you hold within.
Don’t hold on to what you ‘re ashamed in,
Don’t fall subject to your sin,
For you have something stronger to believe in.
What lies inside is above such strife,
So now’s the time to take back your life.
It’s time to make your move,
And do what you must do.
